Final Statement

For my final piece I came up with the idea of making a nerd candy concert, which I got the idea from my quick challenges. I like to make my own environments, because I have the ability to put whatever I please into it. My concert consist of nerds with the wood buildings and photo shopped Time Square in the background with all my work on billboards. With blacklights, highlighter water, and string for lasers. My images were Times Square I found off the Internet and a Dead Mouse Concert.

Final Project

Walk the Line

Alys – This was a simple video of art that was not that interesting at all. Just another concept of art that only make people wonder what the hell is he actually doing. This should not even been something to watch because it lacks effort.

Antoni – The end with her walking on water was creative making the illusion that I thought was cool.

Pope – Another boring video, and it didn’t seem like art again. Crawl was just another way of attempting art but I found nothing about it interesting.

For my walk the line I decided to show myself walking through fire. Through all I have been going through, not a day goes by where it is not intense in some sort of way. I wanted to show a line of pressure to the extreme. I tied a lot of jeans and shirts and made a line down the middle of my street My Red costume is me interpreting me blending in with the fire as I just keep on pushin myself through it all.

Found Objects

I found a piece of a surfboard, Homer Simpson’s head, a rock formed in a seashell shape, Dragon Japenese stress balls, a bird feeder cage, and a tonka wheel. I combined all these objects to create a fictional story.

Reflection

For this assignment I reflected on my past and realize that I always end up just going with the wind relating to my work and my life. I mostly have no control of what happens and thats why I used balloons. I attached a little mirror for when these balloons land if someone has followed these balloons until they pop they will be able to see themselves and realize that me and that person have the same mindset because I would definitly follow the balloons.

Conversations

My character was imaginary who was capable of communicating with animals. I always thought the world would be a better place if animals were capable of talking. So for this assignment I did an interview with a storyline on todays topics with different imagery and three animals who became friends which were acted out with my hands and feet
